On September 19, 2025, Cravath partner Noah Joshua Phillips participated in Fordham Competition Law Institute’s 52nd Annual Conference on International Antitrust Law and Policy and Antitrust Economics Workshop, held in New York. The conference convened leading figures in the industry to discuss recent developments in competition law and policy. Noah interviewed Daniel Guarnera, Director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition, in a keynote Q&A session during the event.

On August 7, 2025, Paramount Global and Skydance Media (“Skydance”) announced the completion of their merger, creating a standalone global media and entertainment company, Paramount, a Skydance Corporation (“Paramount”). Paramount Class B shares will begin trading today on the Nasdaq Stock Market LLC under “PSKY.” Cravath represented the Paramount Special Committee in connection with the transaction.

On June 23, 2025, Illumina, Inc. (“Illumina”) announced it has entered into a definitive agreement with Standard BioTools under which Illumina will acquire SomaLogic, a leader in data‑driven proteomics technology, and other specified assets for $350 million in cash payable at closing, subject to customary adjustments, plus up to $75 million in near-term performance‑based milestones and performance‑based royalties. Cravath is representing Illumina in connection with the transaction.

On March 18, 2025, Wiz, Inc. (“Wiz”), a leading cloud security platform headquartered in New York, and Google LLC (“Google”) announced they have signed a definitive agreement for Google to acquire Wiz for $32 billion, subject to closing adjustments, in an all‑cash transaction. Once closed, Wiz will join Google Cloud. Cravath is representing Wiz as regulatory counsel in connection with the transaction.

On January 27, 2025, the Aquarion Water Authority, a quasi-public corporation and political subdivision of the State of Connecticut and a standalone, newly created water authority alongside the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Aquarion Water Company from Eversource Energy, an energy provider which transmits and delivers electricity and natural gas and supplies water to approximately 4.4 million customers in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Subject to certain closing adjustments, the aggregate enterprise value of the sale is approximately $2.4 billion, which includes approximately $1.6 billion in cash and $800 million of net debt that will be extinguished at closing. Cravath is representing the Aquarion Water Authority in connection with the transaction.
