Rick Stark Moderates Panel at the 2018 AIPLA Annual Meeting

Cravath partner Richard J. Stark participated in the 2018 American Intellectual Property Law Association (“AIPLA”) Annual Meeting, which was held from October 25‑27, 2018, in Washington, D.C. Rick moderated a panel entitled “Watch Out for the Forest: The Collision of IP and Antitrust,” which focused on the interplay between intellectual property and antitrust, and included perspectives from government and private practice.

In connection with his role as moderator, Rick was quoted in a preview article entitled “Antitrust in SEPs and Pharma Patents,” which was published by Managing Intellectual Property in the October 25, 2018 issue of the AIPLA Daily Report newsletter. Rick discussed trends that he expected to be points of discussion on the panel, including standard essential patents and pharmaceutical patents.
