SEMCO Energy’s Joint Venture with MidAmerican Energy Holdings

On July 28, 2010, Cook Inlet Natural Gas Storage Alaska, LLC, a joint venture between SEMCO Energy, Inc. and MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company, announced that it has filed an application with the Regulatory Commission of Alaska to construct, own and operate an underground natural gas storage system in the Cook Inlet region of Southcentral Alaska. Cravath represented SEMCO in connection with this transaction.

The Cravath team included partners Richard Hall and Andrew R. Thompson on corporate matters and partner Michael L. Schler and associate J. Leonard Teti II on tax matters. Brendon S. Prebble also worked on corporate matters.
