Update on United States Sanctions Against Russia

On April 13, 2018, Cravath prepared for its clients a memo entitled “Update on United States Sanctions Against Russia.” The memo summarizes the recent decision by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) to add seven Russian oligarchs and 12 companies they own or control, 17 senior Russian government officials, and a state‑owned Russian weapons trading company and its subsidiary, a Russian bank, to the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons (“SDN”) List.
