Ms. Cooper assists business enterprises, investors and sponsors in assessing environmental risks and opportunities in their transactions, strategic projects and supply chains. She also counsels clients on best practices and compliance requirements, including with respect to international, national and local legal frameworks, voluntary standards and certifications, investing and reporting ratings and indices, and emerging environmental challenges and trends.

Ms. Cooper has extensive experience advising on environmental risk in deals, managing due diligence and coordinating work by technical consultants. She also routinely advises leading manufacturers on requirements for placing products on the market, negotiating with customers, distributors and suppliers, mitigating compliance risks, and interacting with government authorities around the world.

Ms. Cooper has been recognized for her transactional and regulatory work in the environmental area by, among others, Chambers USA and The Legal 500 US. She also regularly writes and speaks on environmental legal and policy developments as well as producer compliance and product stewardship issues.

Ms. Cooper is from Naperville, Illinois. She received a B.A. magna cum laude from Northwestern University in 1998 and a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2003, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.

Ms. Cooper was a summer associate at Cravath in 2002 and an associate from 2003 to 2005, before rejoining the Firm in 2026. Prior to rejoining Cravath, she practiced at a law firm in New York.
