Frederick A. O. Schwarz, Jr. retired from the Firm in December 2001, and was named Senior Counsel in 2002.

Mr. Schwarz was born in New York. He received an A.B. magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1957 and an LL.B. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1960, where he was an Editor of the Law Review. Mr. Schwarz served as a law clerk to Hon. J. Edward Lumbard of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Mr. Schwarz joined Cravath in 1963 and became a partner in 1969. 

Mr. Schwarz was born in New York. He received an A.B. magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1957 and an LL.B. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1960, where he was an Editor of the Law Review. Mr. Schwarz served as a law clerk to Hon. J. Edward Lumbard of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
