Gregory M. Shaw retired from Cravath’s Corporate Department in 2010. His practice focused on general corporate and securities matters with extensive experience in capital markets finance, including equity offerings, investment grade and high‑yield debt offerings and asset‑backed securities offerings. 

Mr. Shaw was born in Newark, New Jersey. He received a B.S. from Columbia University in 1977, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1980, where he was an editor of the Law Review.

Mr. Shaw joined Cravath in 1980 and became a partner in 1987. He worked out of the Firm’s London office from 2003 to 2009, and returned to the New York office in 2010. Before moving to the London office, he was the head of Cravath’s asset‑backed securities group, which he founded in 1987.
