Lauren Rackow is a member of the Antitrust Practice. She focuses her practice on a range of antitrust matters, including mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, complex litigation, government investigations and antitrust compliance. With extensive merger control experience, Ms. Rackow advises clients on antitrust review and enforcement issues both domestically and around the globe.

Ms. Rackow routinely handles key antitrust aspects of mergers and acquisitions by advising on regulatory filings, including Hart‑Scott‑Rodino (HSR) filings, and merger control notification and review by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). She also guides clients through foreign investment review and has acted as antitrust counsel to the financing sources in major acquisitions featuring significant debt financings.

In addition, Ms. Rackow represents clients in critical antitrust litigation and investigations, including matters involving the FTC and the European Commission. Her clients span many industries, including healthcare, financial services and insurance, transportation, communications, and consumer products and services.

Among other accolades, Ms. Rackow has been ranked for numerous years by Chambers USA for her antitrust work. She has also been recognized by The Legal 500 US for her work in antitrust merger control and by The Best Lawyers in America in the area of antitrust law.

Ms. Rackow is vice‑chair of the Insurance & Financial Services Committee of the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section and vice chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section.

Ms. Rackow received a B.A. from Swarthmore College in 2000 and an M.Ed. with distinction from Boston College in 2003. She received a J.D. in 2007 from New York University School of Law, where she was an associate editor of the Moot Court Board. Prior to her time at Cravath, Ms. Rackow was associated with a global law firm in New York.
