Ming-Toy A. Taylor has a broad litigation practice, with a particular focus on antitrust, general commercial and securities matters.  

Ms. Taylor’s representative matters include:  

  • Representation of Sana Biotechnology, its CEO and CFO in putative class action securities litigation filed in Washington federal court alleging the company made false and misleading statements concerning its operations.
  • Representation of Spirit AeroSystems and certain of its officers in putative class action securities litigation filed in New York federal court, alleging defendants made false and misleading statements regarding the company’s quality controls.  
  • Representation of Disney and its subsidiary ESPN in helping to resolve antitrust litigation brought by FuboTV in New York federal court seeking to block a joint venture through which Disney, ESPN, Fox and Warner Brothers Discovery would distribute their sports portfolios through a combined streaming platform.  
  • Representation of Disney and its subsidiary FSLA Holdings LLC in helping to resolve a California state court action filed by Santos Laguna S.A. de C.V., which alleged breach of contract and other claims arising out of Disney’s divestment of certain broadcasting assets in Mexico.  
  • Representation of Root and certain of its officers and directors in helping to win the complete dismissal, affirmed on appeal, of putative class action securities litigation filed in Ohio federal court concerning the company’s IPO.  
  • Representation of music producer Sherman Nealy before the U.S. Supreme Court, which ruled in Nealy’s favor.  The Court’s decision holds that a copyright owner may recover damages under the Copyright Act for any timely filed infringement claim, regardless of when the infringement occurred.  
  • Representation of Anadarko Petroleum in putative class action securities litigation filed in Texas federal court alleging Anadarko made false and misleading statements concerning the company’s business and operations in the Shenandoah deepwater oil field.  
  • Representation of Alcoa in an arbitration in Geneva conducted under International Chamber of Commerce rules regarding the shipment of bauxite from West Africa.  
  • Representation of Qualcomm and certain of its directors and officers in a consolidated class action securities suit in California federal court filed in the wake of antitrust investigations and litigation concerning the company’s patent licensing and modem chipset businesses.  
  • Representation of Qualcomm in a suit filed by the Federal Trade Commission in California federal court alleging violations of Section 5 of the FTC Act and seeking a permanent injunction against the company.  In a complete defense victory for Qualcomm, the Ninth Circuit unanimously reversed the district court’s prior judgment and vacated a permanent, worldwide injunction that had prohibited several of Qualcomm’s core business practices.  

Ms. Taylor received a B.A. in Political Science from Yale College in 2012 and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2018. At Harvard, she was a line editor and an online committee member of the Journal on Legislation, a research assistant to Professor Henry E. Smith and president of the Harvard Tenant Advocacy Project.

Ms. Taylor joined Cravath as a summer associate in 2017 and returned to join the legal staff in 2018. After serving as a law clerk to Hon. Andrew L. Carter Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in 2020, she rejoined Cravath as an associate in 2021. Ms. Taylor was named of counsel in 2025.
