On August 31, 2011, IBM announced a definitive agreement to acquire i2, a leading provider of intelligence analytics for crime and fraud prevention. Cravath represented IBM in connection with this transaction. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition is anticipated to close in the fourth quarter of 2011, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions and applicable regulatory reviews.
