On November 18, 2010, Cravath partner John W. White spoke at a program on the Canadian Securities Regulatory Authority, sponsored by The Samuel and Ronnie Heyman Center on Corporate Governance at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. John provided commentary on the expected reaction in the U.S. financial markets to the planned establishment of a single Canadian national securities regulator – the Canadian Securities Regulatory Authority. Speakers included Douglas Hyndman, Chairman of the Canadian Securities Transition Office, who presented Canada’s plans for the first time to a New York audience.
