Philip Gelston, David Mercado, Mark Greene and Damien Zoubek Speak at IBA Conference

Four Cravath partners were featured speakers at the International Bar Association’s 2012 Annual Conference, which was held September 30 - October 5, 2012, in Dublin, Ireland.

Philip A. Gelston spoke on a panel entitled “Current Legal Developments,” which discussed key corporate and M&A law developments in twelve jurisdictions. David Mercado spoke on a panel entitled “Fixing the Securities Offering Process: Lessons from Recent Offerings,” which explored various perspectives on public offerings of equity securities. Mark I. Greene spoke on a panel entitled “Gorilla or Guerrilla -- Managing Related Party and Conflict of Interest Transactions,” which examined situations where conflicts may arise in certain transactions, how those conflicts can be addressed and mechanisms to mitigate risk to shareholder interests. Damien R. Zoubek spoke on a panel entitled “Corporate Governance Standards: Differences Between Stock Exchanges and Consequences for Disclosure,” which discussed various corporate governance standards set by stock exchanges and regulators around the world. Damien also spoke on a panel entitled “Negotiated M&A Transactions: The Complex, Troubling Provisions,” which focused on some of the complex aspects of negotiated M&A transactions.
