The American Lawyer Recognizes Cravath Among Winners of the 2016 Global Legal Awards

On July 14, 2016, The American Lawyer announced the winners of its 2016 Global Legal Awards, a contest honoring the legal counsel that worked on the most distinguished international work over the course of the last year. Cravath was recognized in connection with its representation of Anheuser‑Busch InBev (“AB InBev”) in its acquisition of SABMiller plc, which was selected as the “Global M&A Deal of the Year: UK,” and in connection with its representation of Shire plc (“Shire”) on tax matters related to its combination with Baxalta, which was selected as the “Global M&A Deal of the Year: U.S.”

The Cravath team for Shire was led by tax partners Stephen L. Gordon and Lauren Angelilli.

The winners will be honored at the Global Legal Awards dinner on September 26, 2016, at Gotham Hall in New York City.
