Barnes & Noble’s Proposed Separation of NOOK Media Business

On June 25, 2014, Barnes & Noble, Inc. announced that its Board of Directors has authorized management to proceed with plans for the separation of the Barnes & Noble Retail and NOOK Media businesses into two separate public companies. Cravath is representing Barnes & Noble in connection with this transaction. Barnes & Noble aims to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of next year.

The Cravath team is being led by partner Andrew R. Thompson.
