Ben Gruenstein Speaks on Virtual Panel Hosted by the International Academy of Financial Crime Litigators

On June 24, 2020, Cravath partner Benjamin Gruenstein spoke on a virtual panel entitled “The Long Arm of U.S. Sanctions,” which was hosted by the International Academy of Financial Crime Litigators, a collaboration between litigation professionals and the Switzerland-based Basel Institute on Governance to promote worldwide access to solutions in cases of economic crime. Ben discussed the ways in which the U.S. Department of Justice and Office of Foreign Assets Control apply U.S. sanctions extraterritorially to cover conduct by foreign actors operating overseas.
