Cravath partners David J. Kappos and Sasha Rosenthal‑Larrea and associates Daniel M. Barabander and Leslie Liu co‑authored an article entitled “ChatGPT and Text Fakes—Sensible Policy To Balance Growth and Risk,” which was published by the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology JOLT Digest on April 6, 2023. The article discusses China’s Deep Synthesis Law and the current state of U.S. deep synthesis regulation, and suggests Congress consider including “text fakes” on its regulatory radar.
