Law360 Names Cravath “Securities Group of the Year” for the Second Time

On January 11, 2013, Cravath was named one of Law360’s 2012 “Securities Groups of the Year” for its work in the area of securities litigation. Law360 selects top practice groups based on the size, complexity and significance of their work over the past year. The profile highlights the Firm’s role as national coordinating counsel for both JPMorgan Chase and Credit Suisse in dozens of residential mortgage-backed securities suits, including the Firm’s success in eliminating approximately US$8 billion in bonds from litigation for Washington Mutual, after which the parties settled for US$26 million. The profile also notes Cravath’s representation of accounting firms in litigation arising from the credit crisis. Cravath was previously named Securities Group of the Year in 2010.
