On September 23, 2016, Marriott International, Inc. announced the completion of its acquisition of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., creating the world’s largest hotel company. Cravath represented Starwood in connection with the transaction, including in securing the dismissal of follow‑on litigation brought by Starwood shareholders seeking to enjoin the deal.
