Jihyun Chung represents sophisticated private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as strategic clients, on a broad range of complex corporate transactions that are often cross-border.

Ms. Chung has extensive experience advising clients on highly complex mergers, acquisitions, buyouts, joint ventures, minority investments and dispositions. Her work extends across a wide array of industries, including consumer products, financial services, healthcare, industrials and manufacturing and technology.

Ms. Chung was born in Daegu, South Korea. She received a B.B.A. from Yonsei University in 2004, a J.D. cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law in 2012 and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management in 2012.

On March 4, 2025, Pacific General, a New York‑based private investment firm, announced that it has acquired a majority stake in Lenwich, a premium sandwich brand that has been a staple in New York City since 1989. Lenwich’s founder will retain a significant equity interest in the company and continue to lead Lenwich as CEO. The partnership between Pacific General and Lenwich aims to accelerate Lenwich’s expansion beyond its home market in New York City, extending across the East Coast and the broader United States. On October 21, 2024, Neuberger Berman Private Markets (“Neuberger Berman”), EQT and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board ("CPP Investments"), together with global institutional investors, announced the signing of definitive share purchase agreements in Nord Anglia Education, a leading international schools organization ("Nord Anglia”), for an enterprise value of $14.5 billion. Existing owners EQT and CPP Investments will remain shareholders in Nord Anglia through a new fund investment and reinvestment, respectively, while Neuberger Berman will become a new strategic partner. Altus Group’s Sale of Property Tax Business to Ryan, LLC

On July 9, 2024, Altus Group Limited (“Altus Group”), a leading provider of asset and fund intelligence for commercial real estate, announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to sell its global Property Tax business to Ryan, LLC (“Ryan”), a leading global tax services and software provider, for total cash consideration of C$700 million. In addition to the definitive agreement, Ryan has also committed to enter a C$15 million Altus Market Insights subscription agreement at the close of the transaction, with an initial three‑year term of C$5 million per year. Cravath is representing Altus Group as U.S. counsel in connection with the transaction.
