On February 3, 2009, Interstate Bakeries Corporation (“IBC”) announced that it has emerged from its voluntary Chapter 11 financial reorganization, with a $130 million investment by an affiliate of Ripplewood Holdings L.L.C. IBC is one of the nation’s largest commercial bakers and distributors of fresh-baked bread and sweet goods, including Wonder®, Merita®, Home Pride®, Baker’s Inn®, Hostess®, Drake’s® and Dolly Madison®. Upon its emergence from bankruptcy, IBC became a private company controlled by Ripplewood.
