Apollo’s IPO

March 31, 2011

Apollo Global Management, LLC announced that its public offering of 29,757,559 shares of common stock was priced at $19 per share. Cravath represented the underwriters, led by Goldman, Sachs & Co., J.P. Morgan Securities and BofA Merrill Lynch, in connection with this transaction. The underwriters were granted a 30-day option to purchase up to 4,463,633 additional common shares from Apollo at the initial public offering price. The transaction closed on March 29, 2011. The shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on March 30, 2011, under the symbol “APO.”

The Cravath team included partner Andrew J. Pitts and associates Brandon R. DeFrehn, Jinhee J. Chung and Joshua G.L. DuClos.
