Cravath’s London Office Moves to 100 Cheapside
June 26, 2025
Cravath partners Brittany L. Sukiennik and Benjamin G. Joseloff participated in the 30th Annual Stanford Directors’ College, which was held from June 23‑25, 2025, at Stanford Law School. The program addressed a broad range of problems that confront modern boards, including the board’s role in setting business strategy, CEO succession, techniques for controlling legal liability, challenges posed by activist investors, boardroom dynamics and contemporary challenges, including the state of the macroeconomy, the politicization of the corporation and emerging ransomware and cybersecurity threats.
Brittany spoke during a breakout session entitled “Crisis Anticipation and Management,” which reviewed best practices for identifying crisis‑level risk exposures and for implementing effective, practical responses, and ran through a scenario to identify patterns common to board‑level crisis situations. Ben spoke during a breakout session entitled “Geopolitical Issues, National Security Risks, and the Board,” which explored what geopolitics means for corporations today, how current disruptions are impacting business operations and what risks are top of mind for boards. Ben also facilitated an interactive small group tabletop exercise.
